Every document, every version.

Nothing here is edited in place. A change is a new version with a new effective date, and the old one stays where it was. If a record says you accepted version 2026-09-03.1 of something, this is where that text lives forever.

How the clock works

A version takes effect at the start of its effective date, Eastern time — 05:00 UTC. The address of each document always shows the version in force at that moment. A version we have published ahead of its date shows here as “takes effect,” with the date; that listing, and the notice on the live document, is our notice of the change. For a running subscription a new Service Terms or Fee Schedule version applies only at the first billing date at least 30 days after that notice.

Each version’s hash is the SHA-256 of its published text. An acceptance record cites the version id and the hash, so it points at exactly those words. The same table is served as JSON at /legal/versions.json for the client portal and for anything else that needs to know what is in force right now.
